Simon Weatherburn spent over a decade as National Service and Training Manager at Stiebel Eltron Australia. Expert Hot Water & Plumbing exists because he thought this work could be done more carefully.

Our story
Why this business only does one thing
Before Expert Hot Water & Plumbing existed, Simon’s job at Stiebel Eltron Australia was National Service and Training Manager. For more than ten years, he taught other companies’ plumbers how to install, commission and service hot water systems, and spent a lot of time being called out to jobs where that had not gone well.
In 2019, with the encouragement of Stiebel Eltron’s Australian management, he and Elisha Ross started this business out of Laverton North. The premise was narrow on purpose: do heat pump hot water, do it at volume, and document it so tightly that the four hundredth install of the year is as careful as the first.
Seven years on, that is roughly 500 to 600 systems a year, a warehouse in Laverton North, and a review record we did not have to chase.
The other half of it
The part that happens off the tools
Elisha Ross co-founded Expert Hot Water & Plumbing with Simon in 2019 and runs everything that is not on the tools: quotes, rebate paperwork, scheduling, and most of the communication you will have with us before install day.
That is not an incidental part of the job. The common complaint about trades is rarely the workmanship. It is not hearing back. Our reviews tend to mention communication as often as they mention the installation itself, and that is the part Elisha owns.

Installation procedures, photo verification and quality control on every job. It is what makes volume compatible with care.
Honest, even when it costs us
If a job is not suitable, if travel charges apply, if a heat pump is the wrong call for your house, we say so before you commit rather than after.

You should not have to work out what photos we need, when your certificates arrive, or how the rebate process works. We tell you first.
Still there afterwards
Servicing and support long after install day. The relationship is the product, not the transaction.
